Jadevon Clowney
He was the top defensive lineman in the country as a sophomore in college. ESPN describes him as “one of those rare game-changers on defense”. He is considered the #1 overall prospect. There is a lot of controversy surrounding Clowney, the NFL has a strict rule that states: (paraphrasing) that any player wanting to be drafted by the NFL has to have played at least 3 years in a college or university. Because of this rule Clowney will not be eligible to be drafted until the 2014 season. Everyone just wants his talent and are livid at this idea that it will be “wasted”. They also advised him not to play at his college because everyone fears he might get injured and even lose the shot at the NFL.

Nerlens Noel
Is a local kid from Massachusetts, was the top high school recruit. He was rated #1 player of 2012 by ESPN. In his first year of college basketball he tore his ACL, he went from #1 contender to #5. They think he will still get picked in the top 5 picks in the draft and have a guaranteed contract with the NBA.
This youtube video showcases his strengths throughout his high school years. He is seen as an other because of his abilities in the court. The music choice in the video is that of strength and power at least in the court. Once he tore his ACL, I am sure that tune changed. |
